twittericon1 9 Kenyan Business Minds You Must Follow on Twitter
As Social media is gaining mainstream acceptance, more and more of our business leaders are getting into it. Some just to test waters but some really take it seriously and treat every contact with as much seriousness. It is in that regard that we feel we should guide you on which business mind is tick and which ones just remains dormant.

    Aly Khan Satchu

If you are not following Aly Khan then you are following nobody. Aly is very down to earth and will follow you right back if you do follow him. He has an interesting event called Mindspeak which he hosts once a month at Westgate Mall and it feature inspirational people though occasionally he has invited not so inspiring leaders. Aly is also the brain behind Rich Kenya.

    Peter Nduati

Peter is the mind behind Resolution Health, a leading health insurer. He engages with his audience well though doesn’t follow back much. He also do post some very interesting links and articles from great sources. Peter is also into Music through Pine Creek records LTD and is a former Rugby player and current Impala RFC chairman according to his twitter profile.

    Gina Din Kariuki

This is the first lady of PR in Kenya. If you don’t know Ms Gina Din, you actually don’t know much about PR in Kenya. She engages very well with various friends on Twitter and she, together with Gina Din PR corporate account, has great leads to upcoming events and even news from clients she manages. She is the CEO of Gina Din Communications.

    Bob Collymore

Bob is the current CEO of Safaricom. He is not new in the firm and social media. He was in the Safaricom Board for sometime before replacing Michael Joseph. Bob is your dream CEO. He can be very strict and snobbish at the same time you wont believe when he decides to be down to earth.

    Michael Joseph

The immediate former CEO of Safaricom and a guy who hated bloggers with much passion because of what he might have been doing wrong. It is very hard to control the editorials of independent writers who don’t benefit from your advertising like the mainstream. So if you want bloggers to write positive things about you, behave. Have no bones in your closet which might be easily unearthed. He is interesting though but still doesn’t engage much.

    Chris Kirubi

The Kenyan version of the old, rich and young at heart business leaders. You will get updates about a show, movie or performance he is attending or even what he is intending to do. He has some ghosts of Uchumi hanging over his head so he might just not be your friend if you know much about Uchumi directors fraud and try to ask him questions. Chris is the Chairman of Capital Group.

    Paul Kukubo

Paul is the CEO of Kenya ICT Board. He shares wonderful articles, mostly in ICT, and also posts updates from events like Tandaa, connected government and most of the ICT events he attends. Paul is a you  a great Kenyan ICT mind and co-founder of 3-Mice Kenya. Follow Paul if you are interested in ICT sector in Kenya and in East Africa.

    Ken Oyolla

Ken is the General Manager of Nokia East and Southern Africa (my sworn enemies because of how hard I pursue this IP theft). Paul engages though with tweeps on various issues and wont bore you with Nokia posts only.

    Linus Gitahi

CEO of Nation Media Group. He is a newbie on twitter and social media though should have been the pacesetter. Nation failed to set pace and so is playing catch-up. You will find Linus posts occasionally interesting and relevant when he doesn’t do the Facebook > Twitter posting.
